IDC: iPhone has 18.2% global marketshare of smartphones, even as year-over-year sales fall

<p style="white-space:pre-wrap;">According to preliminary data from the International Data Corporation (<span style="text-decoration:underline">IDC</span>) <a href="https://www.idc.com/tracker/showproductinfo.jsp?prod_id=37" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><span style="text-decoration:underline">Worldwide Quarterly Mobile Phone Tracker</span></a>, smartphone vendors shipped a total of 375.4 million units during the fourth quarter of 2018 (4Q18), down 4.9% year-over-year and the fifth consecutive quarter of decline. </p>

Rumors about upcoming iPhones, iPads, and iOS 13

New York looking into Apple’s failure to warn customer about the FaceTime bug

Another Apple employee arrested for stealing Apple trade secrets

Apple revokes Facebook’s enterprise developer certificates

Apple sued over FaceTime Group Calling bug

Apple granted another patent involve holographic displays

<p style="white-space:pre-wrap;">About four years ago, Ben Kunz writing for <em>Bloomberg Businessweek, </em>predicted that Apple devices will someday project holograms "like you’ve never seen." He may have been onto something. The company has been granted another patent (number 10,188,288) for such tech.</p>
