The logo for Apple’s 2026 Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) is meant to tease the upcoming new look for Siri, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman says in his latest “Power On” newsletter.
A revamped version of the personal assistant has been anticipated for a long time. Gurman says that when it arrives in iOS 27 (which will certainly be previewed at WWDC) it will sit within the Dynamic Island and expand the pill when triggered.
A prompt will appear with “Search or Ask” along with a glowing cursor. Gurman says the glow is similar to the light bloom effect seen in the WWDC 26 logo.
The pill shape will also have a thin glow matching Siri’s animation colors. The standalone Siri app also has a glow around the search bar.
The 2026 WWDC will kick off on Monday, June 8. Open to all developers at no cost, it will be online as it has been for years and run through Friday, June 12.
WWDC kicks off with the Keynote and Platforms State of the Union on Monday, June 8. The conference continues online all week with over 100 video sessions and interactive group labs and appointments, where developers can connect directly with Apple engineers and designers to explore the latest announcements. The conference will take place on the Apple Developer app, website, and YouTube channel; and on the Apple Developer bilibili channel in China.
