The next version of the Mac Studio may not arrive until October, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman says in his latest “Power On” newsletter.
The current model is offered in M3 Ultra and M4 Max configurations. However, orders are seeing long shipping delays with several models completely out of stock.
Gurman says that a refresh of the Mac Studio Gurman was planned for a mid-year release, but has been pushed back months due to the ongoing memory shortage in the industry.
A new Mac Studio will almost certainly come in M6 Max and M5 Ultra options. And it’s likely it will include advanced connectivity like Thunderbolt 5 and high-bandwidth memory, following updates from the 2025 model.
