Anyone having trouble installing watchOS 10.3 on you Apple Watch? I am.
watchOS 10.3 incorporates the new Unity Bloom watch face to celebrate Black History month. Apple says it also has “improvements and bug fixes.”
watchOS 10.3 can be downloaded for free through the dedicated Apple Watch app on the iPhone by going to General > Software Update. To install the new software, the Apple Watch needs to have at least 50% battery, it needs to be placed on a charger, and it needs to be in range of the iPhone.
At least that’s what usually works. However, whenever I meet all those requirements, my Apple Watch Ultra 2 won’t pair with iOS 17.3 on my iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Despite repeated attempts, installation of watchOS 10.3 keeps passing and I get the message that the smartwatch must be on its charger and charged at least 50%. It is and it is.
The iPhone and Apple Watch are paired. I’ve restarted both devices, all to no avail. Anyone else seeing this issue? Have any solutions? Post comments below or, better yet, drop me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and I’ll share the info with all Apple World Today readers.
