Apple’s rumored 14-inch and 16-inch “MacBook Ultra” models with touch-enabled OLED displays are currently being tested with macOS 27.1 and should arrive in late October, according Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman (a subscription is required to read the article).
The updated laptops are expected to pack M5 Pro and M5 Max processors in a thinner design. That design will include a Dynamic Island instead of a notch, Gurman says. And, if we’re lucky, the laptop might have cellular connectivity options.
Gurman also reiterated that a new Apple TV set-top box, new HomePod minis, the long-rumored home hub (“HomePad,” perhaps?), an iMac with an M6 chip, and an iPad mini with an OLED display will also arrive before year’s end.
