An updated Apple TV set-top box with Siri AI could launch no later than November, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman says in his latest “Power On” newsletter (a subscription is required to read the article).
It will likely come with an A19 or A19 Pro chip rather than the new A20. The upgraded box is also likely to come with 12MB or RAM. That’s up from 4GB in the current 2022 model with the A15 Bionic chip.
Gurman thinks the next Apple TV 4K — as well as new HomePod minis — will sport an Apple-designed Bluetooth and Wi-Fi chip. The chip will support Wi-Fi 6E, though Apple may not be able to match all of Broadcom’s chip capabilities with the first-generation in-house Wi-Fi chip. Also expect it to come with a new Siri Remote.
