In an X post, the leaker known as “Kosutami” claims Apple will offer the upcoming Apple Watch Series 12 in a ceramic model. This echos a previous rumored from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. The last time a ceramic Apple Watch was available was the Series 5 Edition model.
Otherwise, the upcoming Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4 will have very minor changes he said. There’s a possibility that TouchID may be coming to the former, Gurman adds. Otherwise, the tweaks will likely be faster performance and improvements to health and fitness tracking.
The Series 11 and Ultra 3 both have an S10 chip that debuted in the Series 10 and Ultra 2, so the S11 chip or newer should provide the first Apple Watch performance improvements in years. Gurman says there won’t be an Apple Watch SE 4 released this year.
