Apple plans to open a new 10,000-square-foot store at The Village at Meridian, an outdoor shopping complex near Boise, Idaho, according to building permits seen by BoiseDev — and first noted by MacRumors.
The expansion will begin with stores opening as soon as September, with the expansion fully open by February of next year. The headline of the expansion is likely a new store for iPhones, iPads, and Macs. In April, BoiseDev’s Kara Jackson reported on permits filed with the City of Meridian for “Apple Store – Village at Meridian.” The permits show a large 10,411-square-foot store for the secretive tech company.
Apple has roughly 540 retail stores across 27 countries and regions worldwide. More than half of these locations are in the United States, which has about 270 stores. California has the highest number of any state with 53. Major international presences include China, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia.
