The iPhone 18 will come with 12GB of RAM due to Siri AI’s memory chip requirements

iPhone 18 concept

The “standard” (as in non-Pro) iPhone 18 will come with 12GB of RAM, according to a DigiTimes report.

The reason is that Apple is stepping up the AI capabilities of is Siri AI voice assistant and memory chip demand will rise with it.

Apple is expected to debut the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max in September or October, and the “standard” iPhone 18 and an iPhone 18e in early 2027.

As for a foldable iPhone, it’s expected late this year — unless design issues push it to 2027. You can find a roundup of iPhone 18 rumors here
