Has Apple lost its mojo? Are is it simply biting off more than it can chew?

Apple is still making money hand over fist, but I’m wondering it has lost its mojo. Or perhaps it’s bitten off more than it can chew.

A good business maxim is “under-promise, over-deliver.” However, Apple has done the exact opposite with Apple Intelligence. The most anticipated feature of the company’s AI plans/services was to be a “more personalized Siri” to be able to have human-like conversations with users. However, such a update of the personal digital assistant has been pushed to 2026, perhaps due to major security concerns.

And a delay in a “more personalized” Siri has apparently also resulted in a delay in the rumored Apple smart home hub.

What’s more, while the M4 MacBook Air is a well-received and important update, I find the iPhone 16e and new iPhone Air to be middling upgrades at best. Meanwhile, Apple still seems uncertain what to do with the iPad line-up even as it purportedly is pouring time and money into a robotics line

I think Apple should put robot plans on a back burner until it gets its AI/Siri act together. On the positive side, I still believe the Vision Pro is a revolutionary (and fun, if expensive) problem, and I do Apple devotes lots of resources to giving us future (and less pricey) versions of the spatial computer.
