The upcoming iPhone 18e — expected in early 2027 — will have a 60Hz display but could get an upgraded front-facing camera, the leaker known as “Digital Chat Station” said in a new post on Weibo.
He/she added that the smartphone may sport a 6.12-inch OLED display using low-temperature polycrystalline silicon (LTPS) technology, the A20 chip, and a single 48-megapixel rear camera. As for the front-facing camera, Digital Chat Station said it might be upgraded to 24 megapixels.
The iPhone 18e is expected to arrive along with a standard (non-Pro) iPhone 18 and iPhone Air by spring of 2027. The former two are expected to be equipped with 9GB of RAM, up from 8GB in the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17e.
