How to show your iPhone’s battery percentage in iOS 16

When the iPhone X was released, Apple removed the ability to view your remaining battery percentage in the status bar. That irked a lot of folks (including me). But now it’s back in iOS 16.

You’ll have to manually enable it. Here’s how:

° Open the Settings app on your iPhone.

° Scroll down and tap Battery.

° Tap the toggle next to Battery Percentage.

Now you’ll see your battery percentage displayed inside the battery icon in the top right corner of your iPhone. The standard color effects of the battery icon remain even with the battery percentage on. If the battery drops below 20%, the icon becomes red, and if you enable Low Power Mode, the icon turns yellow.

As noted by MacRumors, the battery level option is available on the iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 models, with the exception of the 5.4-inch iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 13 mini. It is also available on the iPhone X, iPhone XS, and iPhone 11 Pro/Max, but not the standard iPhone 11 or the iPhone XR.
