So why was yesterday’s Apple event held at such a late time?

Yesterday’s “Scary Good” Apple event had some exciting Mac announcements, but I still don’t know why it was held at such a late time.

Yesterday’s “Scary Good” Apple event had some exciting Mac announcements, but I still don’t know why it was held at such a late time.

The pre-recorded event didn’t air until 5 pm Pacific Time. One explanation is that Apple was simply capitalizing on the “Scary Good” motif on the day before Halloween.

MacRumors had predicted that Apple might emphasize high-end gaming on the Mac. There are certainly gaming performance improvements to be found in the M3 processors, but no hint at additional Mac-related gaming news to come from Apple and Capcom, and perhaps other game developers as MacRumors had thought might happen.

Whatever the reason for the late timing of the event, let’s not do it again, Apple. Earlier is much better.
