<p>One of the holy grails of the Internet of Things is to have certain things happen in specific places. But there's a problem with that; right now, our devices don't have precise enough location capabilities to trigger notifications when you're passing by the refrigerator or walking to the garage. A group of five Berkeley engineers has teamed up to create <a target="_blank" href="https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1867163750/dot-the-physical-push-notification" rel="noopener noreferrer">Dot</a>, a device that takes the concept of an <a target="_blank" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IBeacon" rel="noopener noreferrer">iBeacon</a> and makes it usable anywhere.</p>

The fast food chain has been on Apple's list of "coming soon" retailers for a while, but until now there's been no confirmation that it was actually going to happen.</p>

<p>It will be SO nice when Apple finally has its event to announce the newest iPhone, since the rumor mills are running overtime right now. Those wacky folks at DigiTimes are citing industry sources and saying that the <a target="_blank" href="http://www.digitimes.com/news/a20160817PD203.html" rel="noopener noreferrer">iPhone 7 (or whatever it's called) will come in a 256GB version</a>. </p>
