<p>Apple’s Keychain password management system is a fine tool. However, Apple wants to make it even better as evidenced by the company’s patent (number 8,479,583) for “conflict resolution for keychain syncing.”</p>

<p>On a regular basis, <em>Apple World Today</em> posts a list of notable new apps or app updates that have been released. They may not necessarily be new, but they're popular and deserve mention. Here are today's picks.</p>

<p>OWC has introduced the OWC miniStack, an external hard drive with USB 3.1 Gen 1 connectivity designed to stack perfectly with Mac mini (at least someone still love the tiny Mac). It offers transfer speeds up to 208MB/s, capacities up to 6.0TB, and at MagLev cooling fan — all in a low-profile aluminum enclosure with a glossy black top designed to complement the look and feel of Macs. </p>

<p><a href="http://www.belkin.com/">Belkin</a> has unveiled the Thunderbolt 3 Express Dock HD. It plugs into devices with a Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) port such as — you know it — the new MacBook Pros. </p>

<p><a href="http://cts.businesswire.com/ct/CT?id=smartlink&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.g-technology.com%2F&esheet=51449093&newsitemid=20161027006992&lan=en-US&anchor=G-Technology%C2%AE&index=1&md5=244ff160194ca414a34528c9534d5a75">G-Technology</a>, a premium storage brand of Western Digital, has expanded its G-DRIVE portfolio, with its first solid state portable drive, the G-DRIVE slim SSD USB-C. </p>

<p>Gumdrop has released the DropTech case for the new 13-inch MacBook Pro. The normal price is $69.95, but it's <a target="_blank" href="https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/californiaheadphones/ultimate-macbook-case-protect-from-drops-and-accid" rel="noopener noreferrer">on sale at Kickstarter</a> for as low as $20 until Nov. 10.</p>

<p>Apple has posted new versions of iMovie, Pages, GarageBand, Keynote, Numbers and Xcode for the new MacBook Pros Touch Bar compatibility. They join Final Cut Pro X with such functionality.</p>

<p style="margin-left:0px; margin-right:0px">More individuals and companies are realizing the health, comfort and productivity of "standing desks." And there is a sit-stand desk solution specifically designed to work with iMacs (21.5-inch and 27-inch models): the <a target="_blank" href="http://www.ergotron.com/ProductsDetails/tabid/65/PRDID/771/language/en-US/Default.aspx" rel="noopener noreferrer">WorkFit</a></p>

<p>I wasn’t totally disappointed with today’s “hello, again” event (the new Mac laptops do look cool), but I wasn’t as thrilled as I should have been. Apple should have provided at least some info on its plans (or lack of them?) for its desktop line-up, especially with Microsoft nipping on its heels with a new all-in-one desktop (pictured).</p>

<p>At today’s “hello, again” event, Apple CEO Tim Cook spoke of Apple teaming with LG to offer a 27-inch 5K Retina display to go along with the new MacBook Pros. It’s the <a target="_blank" href="http://www.apple.com/shop/product/HKN62LL/A/lg-ultrafine-5k-display?fnode=8a" rel="noopener noreferrer">LG UltraFine 5K Display.</a> It will set you back $1,299 and will be available in December. </p>

<p>Apple has introduced a “significant update” to its professional video editing app, Final Cut Pro X, featuring new editing features for the Magnetic Timeline, support for the revolutionary Touch Bar on the new MacBook Pro and a redesigned interface with full support for wide color workflows. </p>

<p>At today’s “hello, again” event, Apple introduced a nifty new MacBook Pro, but the desktop line-up saw no love. What was introduced was the thinnest and lightest MacBook Pro ever, along with an interface that replaces the traditional row of function keys with a Retina-quality Multi-Touch display called the Touch Bar. </p>

<p>Apple has introduced a new TV app that’s designed to offer a unified experience for discovering and accessing TV shows and movies from multiple apps on the fourth generation Apple TV, iPhone and iPad. So where is the Mac version? Apparently, there’s no TV app for macOS Sierra, which is a bit disappointing considering that today’s “hello, again” event focused on the Mac.</p>
