Three new Apple retail stores to open this Saturday

<p>Apple will open a <a target="_blank" href="https://www.apple.com/retail/brickellcitycentre/" rel="noopener noreferrer">new retail store</a> at the new Brickell City Centre shopping mall in Miami this Saturday, March 25, at 10 a.m. (local time). It will be the company’s fourth store in the city. </p>

Over 187,000 apps will be obsolete when iOS goes 64-bit only

That is the update is when Apple plans to kill 32-bit support.</p>

Canalys: the smartwatch market will grow 18% in 2017

<p>Good news for the Apple Watch: the <a target="_blank" href="http://www.canalys.com" rel="noopener noreferrer">Canalys research group</a> predicts that the smartwatch market will grow 18% in 2017, with 28.5 million units being shipped. This will mean the total value of smartwatch shipments in 2017 will reach $10 billion.</p>

iOS market share grows in all but three markets over the past three months

<p>The latest mobile operating system sales data from <a target="_blank" href="https://www.kantarworldpanel.com" rel="noopener noreferrer">Kantar Worldpanel ComTech</a> shows that iOS achieved continued growth across most regions tracked, except for Japan, Spain, and Urban China. Android also continued to post market share increases in all regions but the U.S., as “no other ecosystem is challenging the two giants – iOS and Android,” according to the research group.</p>

Rollout proposes a secure JavaScript injection approval process for Apple’s app stores

<p>iOS troubleshooting and update tool, Rollout.io, has published an <a target="_blank" href="https://rollout.io/blog/open-letter-to-apple-secure-javascript-injection-ios/" rel="noopener noreferrer">open letter to Apple</a>, proposing a secure JavaScript injection approval process, as a way to address Apple’s concerns from late last week regarding apps that use code-swapping frameworks like Rollout.</p>

Russia finds Apple guilty of price-fixing regarding the iPhone

<p><a target="_blank" href="https://www.ft.com/content/e27e4f4a-08be-11e7-97d1-5e720a26771b" rel="noopener noreferrer">The Financial Times reports</a> that Russia’s Federal Antimonopoly Service has ruled that Apple had illegally ordered retailers to fix prices of the iPhone 5 and iPhone 6 models. The Cupertino, California-based company purportedly instructed 16 retailers in Russia to set the prices at a certain amount and if a retailer was found to be selling the iPhone at an “unsuitable” price, Apple would contact them and order them to change the price or risk having the sales agreement terminated.</p>

Beware! A new RAT may try to scurry onto your Mac

Apple supports Google in issues involving an FBI warrant

<p>Apple, Microsoft, Amazon and Cisco have <a target="_blank" href="https://www.scribd.com/document/341774005/Amicus-Brief-ISO-Google" rel="noopener noreferrer">filed an amicus brief</a> in support of Google, after a Pennsylvania court ruled that the company had to hand over emails stored overseas in response to an FBI warrant.</p>
