Withings’ products not listed on Apple’s HomeKit webpage

<p>Wow. That’s gotta hurt. Apple has revamped its <a target="_blank" href="http://www.apple.com/ios/home/accessories/" rel="noopener noreferrer">webpage of HomeKit-compatible products</a> to include status updates on upcoming products, but there’s no mention of Withings products such as its Blood Pressure Monitor, Smart Body Analyzer, and Blood Pressure Monitor. </p>

Rumor: new 10.5-inch iPad Pro to debut at a special Apple event in early April

<p>Hmmm. My <em>AWT</em> compadre, Steve Sande, may be right <a target="_blank" href="https://appleworld.dreamhosters.com/blog/2017/3/7/rumor-apple-ipad-event-to-be-held-on-april-4-2017-at-apple-park?rq=April%204" rel="noopener noreferrer">with his prediction</a> of an April 4 “special event” at the new Apple Park campus (pictured). <a target="_blank" href="http://www.digitimes.com/news/a20170313PD208.html" rel="noopener noreferrer">DigiTimes</a> is echoing Steve’s forecast, adding that a new 10.5-inch iPad Pro will be unveiled at such an occasion.</p>

The $1.99 app can viewed in either portrait or landscape. It has an "Info Bar" along the bottom that allows you to finely tailor any of your settings.</p>

Study: Apple’s ResearchKit platform generates reliable data in asthma study

<p>Health data collected entirely from smartphones can be reliable, research from Mount Sinai Hospital claims. The researchers involved found — as noted by <a target="_blank" href="http://www.theverge.com/2017/3/13/14908402/apple-researchkit-health-asthma-study-app-data-smartphone" rel="noopener noreferrer">The Verge</a> -- that Apple’s ResearchKit platform and an app for asthma were fairly accurate when compared to existing patient studies.</p>

Analyst: Apple dominates global, premium smartphone market

More U.S. households have Netflix than use DVRs

<p>The number of households with Netflix now surpasses those with a DVR for the first time ever, a new study finds. The <a href="http://www.leichtmanresearch.com/press/030617release.pdf">survey</a> of 1,211 households throughout the United States, conducted by Leichtman Research Group (LRG), revealed that more than half of adults — 54%— have Netflix in their household. </p>

Laptops, desktops still dominate among all media devices

<p>Don’t count the traditional personal computer — such as the Mac — out yet. According to new data from the <a target="_blank" href="http://www.comscore.com" rel="noopener noreferrer">comScore research group</a>, among all media devices in U.S. connected homes, laptop and desktop computers had the highest penetration at 90%, followed closely by mobile phones at 88%. </p>
