Some iPhone X users say they’re experiencing audio issues

<p>Some iPhone X are apparently experiencing "crackling" or "buzzing" sounds coming from the smartphone's front-facing earpiece speaker at high volumes. Over two dozen users have said they are affected in a <a target="_blank" href="https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/iphone-x-crackle-speakers.2084292/" rel="noopener noreferrer">MacRumors discussion topic</a> about the matter, while similar reports have surfaced on <a target="_blank" href="https://twitter.com/search?q=iphone%20x%20crackling&src=typd" rel="noopener noreferrer">Twitter</a> and <a target="_blank" href="https://www.reddit.com/r/apple/comments/7b5gci/i_love_everything_about_the_iphone_x_except_the/" rel="noopener noreferrer">Reddit</a> since the smartphone launched.</p>

Analyst: production problems with the iPhone X are over

<p>In a note to clients — as noted by <a target="_blank" href="http://appleinsider.com/articles/17/11/11/iphone-x-iphone-8-plus-production-accelerating-alongside-cutback-in-orders-for-iphone-8" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>AppleInsider</em></a> — KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says that production problems with the iPhone X are over, and about 26 million units of the smartphone should ship in the holiday quarter.</p>

Some iPhone X users find their smartphones don’t like the cold

<p>iPhone X users on <a target="_blank" href="https://www.reddit.com/r/iphone/comments/7bnann/iphone_x_screen_not_responsive_in_the_cold/" rel="noopener noreferrer">reddit</a> and <a target="_blank" href="https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/iphone-x-display-not-working-on-cold.2086455/" rel="noopener noreferrer">the <em>MacRumors</em> forums</a> have found that their smartphones immediately refuse to recognize some touch input when exposed to cool outdoor temperatures. There’s a software bug causing the issue, which Apple says will be addressed in an upcoming update. Clips introduces Selfie Scenes for immersive, 360-degree selfies on iPhone X

<p>Apple has announced a major update to <a href="https://www.apple.com/newsroom/2017/03/apple-introduces-clips-the-fun-new-way-to-create-expressive-videos-on-ios/">Clips</a>, the free app for iOS that makes it easy to create and share videos using an iPhone or iPad. The upgrade  introduces Selfie Scenes and adds artistic style transfer effects and a redesigned interface.</p>

Study: Americans will overlook a lot of inconvenience to get a new iPhone

<p>Americans are so excited about the new iPhone that they would overcome a great deal of inconvenience—and adversity—to lay their hands on one, according to <a target="_blank" href="http://www.levadata.com" rel="noopener noreferrer">LevaData</a>, a company “that helps global enterprises improve gross margins by reducing supply chain costs.” I’m assuming the “new iPhone” is the iPhone X, but LevaData doesn’t specify.</p>

TrendForce predicts a ‘surge’ in iPhone X production

<p>A new report from the <a target="_blank" href="http://www.trendforce.com" rel="noopener noreferrer">TrendForce </a>estimates that the iPhone production volume for the fourth quarter will reach 81 million units with the iPhone X accounting for 33% of the total. The research group expects a “surge” of iPhone X production that will last through the first half of 2018, which will help Apple unseat Samsung as the world’s largest smartphone maker.</p>
