<p style="white-space:pre-wrap;">About four years ago, Ben Kunz writing for <em>Bloomberg Businessweek, </em>predicted that Apple devices will someday project holograms "like you’ve never seen." He may have been onto something. The company has been granted another patent (number 10,188,288) for such tech.</p>

<p style="white-space:pre-wrap;">Apple has announced the financial results for its fiscal 2019 first quarter that ended Dec. 29, 2018. The company posted quarterly revenue of $84.3 billion, a decline of 5% from the year-ago quarter, and quarterly earnings per diluted share of $4.18, up 7.5%.</p>

<p style="white-space:pre-wrap;"><a href="https://www.globenewswire.com/Tracker?data=dpxmTDxdJl9ivpjRsufbPpyrsUnxx-rZATfrOkyTD2QSL62UTn0sU-NeksIL7_sz" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><span style="text-decoration:underline">Jamf</span></a>, which speecializes Apple management, says it ended 2018 with another year of record growth, expanding its customer base by 57% to welcome over 7,100 new organizations. Further, the company grew total revenue by 30%, and recurring revenue grew by 40% year-over-year, maintaining an industry-leading retention rate of 96%.</p>

<p style="white-space:pre-wrap;">Apple has announced a new Today at Apple release with sessions in three new and expanded formats — Skills, Walks and Labs — which offer hands-on group sessions focused on photography, video, music, coding, app development, art and design and more. </p>

<p style="white-space:pre-wrap;">Apple wants Siri, its “personal digital assistant,” to be able to whisper a response.The company has been granted a patent (number 10,192,552) for a “digital assistant providing a whispered speech.”</p>

<p style="white-space:pre-wrap;">Apple <a href="https://appleworld.dreamhosters.com/blog/2019/1/24/apple-lays-off-200-employees-from-project-titan-its-apple-car-project" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">may have cut 200 folks</a> from its “Project Titan/Apple Car” team, but the tech giant is still working on automotive projects and has been granted a patent (number 10,189,434) for an “augmented safety restraint” for automated vehicles.</p>

<p style="white-space:pre-wrap;">Apple <a href="https://www.law360.com/technology/articles/1122202/apple-urges-fed-circ-to-ax-virnetx-s-600m-patent-win?nl_pk=ade0cf2b-ea3f-464b-bc93-d8e19277ac63&utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=technology&read_more=1" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">has urged </a> the Federal Circuit to toss a nearly $600 million judgment that VirnetX secured against the tech giant, arguing that the asserted claims of all the patents in the case have been invalidated by the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.</p>

<p style="white-space:pre-wrap;">Apple’s streaming video service could launch by mid-April, according to <a href="https://www.theinformation.com/articles/amazon-changes-tack-on-video-offering-as-apple-joins-market" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>The Information</em></a>. However, when the tech giant began making the computer in Austin, Texas, it struggled to find enough screws, according to <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2019/01/28/technology/iphones-apple-china-made.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>The New York Times</em></a>, quoting three unnamed “people who worked on the project.”</p>
