Take this one with a grain of salt, but the Spanish blog Applesfera says the AirPods 2 will be released on March 29, and the first generation of the wireless earbuds will be discontinued.
Chance the rumor is true, per the Sellers Research Group (that’s me): 50%. I think we’ll see the AirPods 2 announced on March 22 along with the long-awaited AirPower. Apple will begin taking pre-orders on that date. The products and perhaps a new iPad mini 5 and new 9.7-inch (or perhaps 10-inch) iPad will begin shipping a week later.
