According to the <a href="http://www.canalys.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Canalys research group</a>  its market share exceeded 50% for the first time in 2018. That’s up from 48% in 2017 and 48.2% in 2016.</p>

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">Apple has issued a statement about Siri’s privacy protections. The tech giant halted the Siri grading program earlier this month.</p>

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">Apple has canned — at least for now — a “Walkie Talkie” feature planned for the iPhone. The wireless technology project that would have allowed people with iPhones to reach nearby companions in areas without cellular coverage, such as on ski slopes or on hikes in remote areas, reports <a href="https://www.theinformation.com/articles/apple-puts-walkie-talkie-iphone-project-on-hold" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">The Information</a>, quoting two unnamed “people familiar with the project.”</p>

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">Apple has released iOS 12.4.1, tvOS 12.4.1, macOS 10.14.6. iOS 12.4.1 provides “important security and stability improvements, and is recommended for all users,” according to Apple. You can upgrade by opening the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad, choosing General, then Software Update, and following the instructions.</p>
