<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">We’re approaching the one-year anniversary of Apple’s discontinuation of its Photo Print Products service, so I’ve test driven <a href="https://www.motifphotos.com/en-us"><span style="text-decoration:underline"><strong>Motif</strong></span></a>, an Apple-approved photo print service/externsion that specializes in personalized photo books, cards, and calendars. I used it to create a photo book of pics from the recent Sellers family vacation.</p>

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">Apple has canned — at least for now — a “Walkie Talkie” feature planned for the iPhone. The wireless technology project that would have allowed people with iPhones to reach nearby companions in areas without cellular coverage, such as on ski slopes or on hikes in remote areas, reports <a href="https://www.theinformation.com/articles/apple-puts-walkie-talkie-iphone-project-on-hold" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">The Information</a>, quoting two unnamed “people familiar with the project.”</p>

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">Apple has released iOS 12.4.1, tvOS 12.4.1, macOS 10.14.6. iOS 12.4.1 provides “important security and stability improvements, and is recommended for all users,” according to Apple. You can upgrade by opening the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad, choosing General, then Software Update, and following the instructions.</p>

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">Apple will release an iPad Pro with 3D sensing rear cameras in March 2020, according to Korean website <a href="http://en.thelec.kr/news/articleView.html?idxno=472" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">The Elec</a>. — as noted by <a href="https://www.macrumors.com" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>MacRumors</em>.</a></p>

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;"><a href="https://www.allscripts.com" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Allscripts</a>, which specializes in healthcare information technology solutions, has announced that Apple Health Records is now available for Allscripts Sunrise, TouchWorks, and Professional EHR clients, and their patients.</p>

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">Another day, another lawsuit. <a href="https://appleinsider.com/articles/19/08/26/apple-tsmc-google-more-sued-by-globalfoundries-over-chip-connectivity-patents" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">AppleInsider </a>reports that a company called Globalfoundries has filed multiple lawsuits against Apple, TSMC (a chip manufacturer), Google, and others for allegedly infringing 16 patents. The lawsuits have been filed in both U.S. and German courts.</p>

The research group says the U.S. smartphone replacement cycle has lengthened to 33 months despite strong interest in 5G.</p>
