Notable apps and updates, Sept. 23-28

On a regular basis, Apple World Today posts a list of notable new apps or app updates that have been released. They may not necessarily be new, but they’re popular and deserve mention. Here are this week’s picks.

macOS

Ohanaware has announced HDRtist NX 2.1, an update to the company’s High Dynamic Range Imaging software that provides128-bit image processing utilizing multi-core processors and accelerated graphics hardware.

HDRtist NX sports a large live editor with a split view, providing near real time performance while the images are being edited. One-Click Styles allow you to pick and choose a pre-made style. (you can also create and share your own). Version 2.1 focuses on improving color rendering, single RAW support and integration with Apple’s Photos software.

HDRtist NX 2.1 requires macOS 10.11 or higher. It costs $59.99, but a demo is available.

Cisdem has updated Duplicate Finder Mac to version 4.8.0. It’s a utility tool that can detect and delete duplicates from external and internal hard drives to free up the space.

The new version adds a refined user interface and improves the capability to remove duplicates in iTunes and Photos. It also solve the “unable to set Photos” library path issue and fixes some bugs.

Duplicate Finder Mac 4.8.0 requires macOS 10.10 or higher. It costs $29.99 for a single-user lifetime license. A demo is available for download.

Focus Dashcam Organizer for macOS has been updated to version 1.2. The app allows you to organize and view your Tesla Sentry videos in an organized interface.

Videos are automatically stitched together to provide a view of all cameras at once — including the rear view in V10 with the update. Videos can be clicked to examine (or export) a specific camera while the video is playing. You can adjust the speed from 0 to 10x, export, flag and delete videos, all within Focus.

Focus Dashcam Organizer works with macOS 10.13 and higher. It costs $4.99 and is available worldwide through the Mac App Store and the Boundary Labs website.
