The company has been granted a patent (number 10,052,061) for “adjusting alarms based on sleep onset latency.” In theory, this would allow an iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch to adjust their built-in alarm clocks to adapt to your sleep patterns.</p>

<p style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Apple has scooped up the rights to develop a project based on the <em>New York Times Magazine</em> <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2018/08/01/magazine/climate-change-losing-earth.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">story</a> "Losing Earth: The Decade We Almost Stopped Climate Change," reports <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2018/08/21/business/media/apple-new-york-times-climate-change.html?partner=rss&emc=rss" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>The New York Times</em></a>. </p>

<p style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Apple has been granted a patent (number 10.055,039) for “electronic devices with sidewall displays.” In other words, iPhones and iPads with displays on their slim sides in addition to the primary screen.</p>

<p style="white-space: pre-wrap;">With Apple’s plan to open retail stores in India still delayed pending government approval, the tech giant is planning bigger franchisee outlets at key locations in metropolitan cities, according to <a href="https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/tech/hardware/apple-plans-flagship-outlets-in-key-locations-to-drive-sales-in-india/articleshow/65479333.cms" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>The Economic Times</em></a>. </p>

As noted by <a href="https://appleinsider.com/articles/18/08/20/apple-sued-over-claims-website-is-inaccessible-to-visually-impaired-users" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>AppleInsider</em></a>, Apple is being sued over claims that the company's website is violating the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) by not being fully accessible to blind or visually-impaired consumers.</p>
