tvOS 13 makes an Apple TV HD, Apple TV 4K feel kinda new

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">Apple hasn’t introduced (at least not yet) a new Apple TV set-top box, but thejust-released tvOS 13 can make your current Apple TV (as along as its an Apple TV HD or Apple TV 4K) feel new thanks to features such as: an immersive new Home screen; multi-user support for customers to access their own TV shows, movies, music and recommendations; support for Apple Arcade; expanded game controller support; and new 4K HDR screen savers.</p>

A look at Pelican’s new cases for 2019 iPhones

News round-up: Tax changes will affect Apple App Store prices in Japan (and more)

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">In a note on its Developer Portal, <a href="https://developer.apple.com/news/?id=09232019a" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Apple says</a> that starting in October, the Japan Consumption Tax (JCT) will increase from 8% to 10%, resulting in a price increase for apps on the App Store and in-app purchases (excluding auto-renewable subscriptions) in Japan. </p>

Apple says fix coming ‘soon’ for third-party keyboard apps issue

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">In an <a href="https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT210613" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Apple support document</a>, the company says an upcoming software update will fix an issue that impacts third-party keyboard apps. This issue applies only if you've installed third-party keyboards on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.</p>

Say it ain’t so: Apple patent is for an even thinner keyboard

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">With the hubbub and lawsuits over alleged failures in Apple’s butterfly keyboard on various Mac laptops, you’d think Apple might maker thicker keyboards for its laptops. However, the company has been granted a patent (number 10,424,446) for “keyboard assemblies having reduced thickness” and a method of making them.</p>

Apple exceeds (again) in the ACSI Appliance and Electronics Report

<p class="" style="white-space:pre-wrap;">Apple does well (as usual) in the <a href="http://www.theacsi.org" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">American Customer Satisfaction Index</a>'s 2019 Appliance and Electronics Report. Among personal computer (PC) makers, the tech giant remains in the lead, unchanged at an ACSI score of 83 (out of 100). </p>
