Apple needs to address these macOS Golden Gate 27 bugs ASAP

macOS Golden Gate 27 is certainly not unusable, but I’m surprised by how many issues it has.

macOS Golden Gate 27 is certainly not unusable, but I’m surprised by how many issues it has.

For example, I find during my work day that Pages and Mail occasionally crash. News does also, but less frequently. And as I noted before after upgrading to macOS 27 and updated Creator Pro, two Pixelmator Pro folders pop up in my iCloud account. When I delete one of the folders, a second one still pops up. Nothing I’ve done has fixed the issue. And here are other reported issues:

  • Mission Control and Spaces: Users report severe lag, frame-rate stutters, and delay when entering Mission Control or swiping between full-screen apps and virtual desktops.
  • Dual-Monitor Glitches: Moving an app window across multiple displays can leave an unresponsive black screen behind on the original monitor (a temporary fix requires creating and deleting a new desktop space).
  • Interface and UI Bugs: Complaints include slow menu bars, Control Center stutter, Safari search quirks, and missing context or system tray menus.
  • System Reindexing & Storage: Spotlight search may act sluggish initially due to heavy reindexing, and mandatory AI/language model downloads consume significant disk space.

These are issues that Apple should have caught long before now. So, c’mon, Apple, give us an update that resolves these problems.
