Incoming CEO John Ternus may be planning a ’shake-up’ of the Apple design team

Incoming CEO John Ternus may be planning a ’shake-up’ of the Apple design team.

In his new “Power On” newsletter, Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman says incoming CEO, John. Ternus, plans to “shake-up” the design teams at Apple.

Ternus is taking over from Tim Cook as CEO on September 1. Cook will become executive chairman of Apple’s Board of Directors.

In April Gurman said that Ternus is overhauling Apple’s internal operations using AI, though he offered no details. In the new “Power On” newsletter, he says told staff that under him, Apple will “keep focusing on design, because design is core to what we do in Apple.”

He said that the best-designed items most folks have come from Apple. Apparently, Ternus plans to be more involved in product design than Cook was. Purportedly, he’s always been a lot of time with the industrial design group.
