iOS 27 will add a feature that will allow Apple Cash users to take a photo of a receipt and split a bill among different folks, according to Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman.
He says it will be tied to the peer-to-peer Apple Cash feature in the Wallet app. Note that Apple Cash is only available in the US. Gurman says the bill-splitting feature will be available through the Wallet and Messages apps, and users will be able to approve payments from an Apple Watch.
iOS 27 — along with macOS 27, iPadOS 27, watchOS 27, tvOS 27, and visionOS 27 — will almost certainly be introduced at Monday’s kick off of the Apple Worldwide Developer Conference. Most likely, the updates will roll out to end users in September or October.
