An iPhone Air 2 and iPhone 18e will arrive in early 2027, according to Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman (a subscription is required to read the article).
He says the devices will arrive next spring along with a standard iPhone 18. Gurman doesn’t think the latter will debut along side the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max and a foldable iPhone this fall.
The leaker known as “Instant Digital” has previously said that Apple has requested an “ultra-thin” Face ID component from suppliers that will allow the second generation iPhone Air to accommodate an ultra wide-angle lens in addition to the existing single main lens. A redesign that includes a second camera is said to be one way that Apple thinks it can address user complaints that the iPhone Air — while an impressive design feat, has led to too many hardware compromises, especially given the US$999 price tag.

As for an iPhone 18 and iPhone 18e, they’re less exciting upgrades. Both are expected to pack the new A20 chip, but have no major design changes.
