Apple and LG are rumored to be teaming up for new smart home devices, but the former is still working on its own branded home security camera for 2027, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman said in an X post.
“The Apple + LG security cameras are completely separate from Apple’s own privacy-centric home camera/sensor, coming next year,” he said.
Gurman has previously said that Apple was working on more smart home products such as a home security camera and a doorbell. So if Apple has made a partnership with LG but is still working its own security camera, does the tech giant also plan to release an Apple doorbell?
This seems a bit convoluted to me. Yesterday Gurman said that Apple and LG were teaming up for smart home devices including a lock, doorbell, indoor camera, thermostat, and more. Perhaps the details of the partnership haven’t been completely worked out.
