Benks recently sent us several cases for the new iPhone 18 Pro Max. I’m inundated with cases from multiple companies, and there’s not enough time in the world to review them separately. So I’m picking out my favorite case from each company.
When it comes to Benks, it’s the US$59.99 ArmorGrid. It has an ultra-slim, premium design.
It’s woven from DuPont Kevlar fiber with the Jiaoluo weaving technique, an aluminum camera frame, and an Excimer UV coating layer. However, it’s not the case you want if you looking for something that’s ultra-protective. The Armor Grid is built primarily for daily scratch and minor bump resistance rather than heavy drops or rugged impact mitigation.
It comes in Obsidian Black, so is pretty classy looking. It’s MagSafe compatible, which is a must for me. Other features induce a Camera Control Button and independent metal buttons.
Despite all these features, it’s slim and lightweight. The Armor Guide measures around 1.15mm to 1.2mm thin and weighs roughly 20–22 grams.
