John Ternus took over as Apple CEO today with Tim Cook taking over as executive chairman of the company’s board of directors.
However, according to a report from Bloomberg (a subscription is required to read the article), the new CEO won’t make as much moolah as his predecessor. Not yet, at least.
Cook was paid approximately $74.3 million through 2025 with his salary and stock grants. Ternus will “only” make about $58 million across fiscal 2027.
But don’t worry too much about him. Ternus will purportedly get a $3 million annual salary with a stock grant targeting a $55 million value in 2027. Cook, on the other hand, will be taking a slight pay cut at a $2 million salary and a $45 million stock package.
