Apple is prototyping a second new smartphone display — about 6.4 inches — that might arrive with next year’s 20th anniversary iPhone, according to the leaker known as “Digital Chat Station” in a new Weibo post.
“Another 7-inch large screen has been mentioned before,” he/she says. “The physical size of the whole system will increase and the proportion will remain unchanged. A new endless four-surface design may be adopted.”
Here are some more rumors about next year’s “iPhone 20”:
° It will pack a 2-nanometer A21 processor and have a solid-state haptic button system.
° It will be equipped with an ultra-low energy microprocessor allowing the solid-state buttons to remain functional even when the handset is powered off or the battery has run out.
° It will have a “Liquid Glass Display”: a display where the bezel nearly disappears from sight, while edge viewing remains natural and undisturbed. It flows like liquid, yet stays as pure and transparent as glass.
