In an X post, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman says the upcoming AirPods update won’t have hand gestures, but will have built-in cameras.

This is apparently referring to potential “AirPods Ultras,” which he mentioned last month in a “Power On” newsletter. He said the upcoming, and pricier, version of the current AirPods Pro will feature computer-vision cameras to feed Visual Intelligence data to Siri

Visual Intelligence is a feature on newer iPhones, iPads, and Macs that uses the camera to identify and provide information about objects, text, and places around you.
