In iPadOS 18, Control Center has been redesigned to provide easier access to many of the things users do every day, with new levels of customization, delivering quick access to new groups of a user’s most-utilized controls.
Additionally, users can now add controls from supported third-party apps into Control Center, and developers can take advantage of the new Controls API to let their users accomplish even more tasks, like quickly starting a virtual meeting or kicking off a livestream for their followers. Here’s how to customize the Control Center in iOS 18:
° Open Control Center.
° Tap the + sign in the top left corner.
° To add a control, tap Add a Control at the bottom of the screen.
° To rearrange a control, drag it to a new position.
° To remove a control, tap the x in the upper left of the control.
° To resize a control, drag the handle at the lower right of the control
You can also touch and hold outside of any control to start customizing.
What’s more, iOS 18 allows you to add groups to Control Center, and you can organize them. For example, you can create groups for favorites, media playback, Home controls, and connectivity. You can also add a new controls gallery that features options from third-party apps.
To close Control Center, you can swipe up from the bottom of the screen or tap the screen.
