iPadOS 16 reportedly delayed from September to October

iPadOS 16

Apple will delay the launch from September to October, reports Bloomberg. Among other reasons, the tech giant plans to stagger iPhone and iPad operating system updates.

Another reason for the iPadOS 16‌ delay is purportedly because Apple is still working out the kinds of Stage Manager. The feature, available only for M.x processor equipped iPads brings a new way to multitask with multiple overlapping windows.

The Sellers Research Group (that’s me) thinks Bloomberg is correct regarding the delay. October is likely also the month when we’ll see new iPads and iPad Pros debut.

Bloomberg says watchOS 9 will still arrive in September as anticipated, likely along with new Apple Watches. However, the roll out of macOS Ventura, which also implements the Stage Manager feature may also be pushed back past September, per Bloomberg.
