You can now pre-order Apple’s AirTag and purple iPhone 12

In his latest Power On newsletter, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman says Apple's AirTag is due for a revamp by mid-2025.

You can now pre-order Apple’s AirTag and purple iPhone 12 at apple.com with availability beginning Friday, April 30.

The former is an accessory designed to help users keep track of and find items with Apple’s Find My app. Whether attached to a handbag, keys, backpack, or other items, AirTag taps into the Find My network and can help locate a lost item, all while, per Apple, keeping location data private and anonymous with end-to-end encryption. The AirTag can be purchased in one and four packs for just $29 and $99.

The iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini in purple will come in 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB models starting at US$33.29 a month for 24 months or $799 before trade-in and $29.12 a month for 24 months or $699 before trade-in, respectively. Customers can get the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini from apple.com, in the Apple Store app, and at Apple Store locations. iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini are also available through Apple Authorized Resellers and select carriers (prices may vary).
