UD-CAM docking station offers portable, flexible Thunderbolt 3 connectivity

If you have a newer Mac with Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) it’s nice to have a dock, especially as Apple’s laptops have a dearth of ports. One solution is the Plugable UD-CAM docking station, is a small, powerful USB 3.1 Type-C docking station.

Though, at $179, it’s not cheap, it can add functionality, usability, and flexibility to supported USB-C and Thunderbolt 3 Macs. For example, you can add an external HDMI display while serving up to 85W of power to charge your system. The UD-CAM also provides connectivity with Ethernet, audio input/output, and four USB ports to connect your peripherals — and all through a single USB-C
