Rumor: pre-orders for the ‘iPhone 7’ will start Sept. 9 (and an Apple Watch 2?)

Earlier this week, mobile phone blogger, Evan Blass, said the “iPhone 7” would launch the week of Sept. 12. Now he adds that pre-orders will start on Friday, Sept. 9. I think he’s right. I’m also predicting that the second generation Apple Watch will arrive at the same time.

The rumor mill is churning with rumors about the upcoming iPhone (shown in fanciful mock-ups). Will it offer a two-model line-up or a three-model line-up, including an “iPhone Pro”? I’m predicting only two models. Will it lack a traditional audio jack or not? I think it will indeed ditch the jack. Will it be waterproof and dust proof or not? I’m saying “yes” to both features.

A new rumor claims the next iPhone will be dubbed the iPhone 6SE rather than the iPhone 7. However, I’m still betting it will be called the latter.

What’s more, I think we’ll see the Apple Watch 2 arrive alongside the iPhone 7. It will, in my opinion, be completely waterproof and be much less dependent on an iPhone when on a Wi-Fi network.
