Rumor: Apple planning an end-of-March media event

A new article from iPhone-ticker.de, a German language site, claims that Apple will hold a media event at the end of March — most likely Tuesday, March 31.

The report, which hasn’t been confirmed by Apple, will likely see the introduction of a $399 iPhone that’s the follow-up to the iPhone SE 2.

It’s also possible that Apple could introduce new iPad Pros and refreshed 13-inch MacBook Pros and MacBook Airs that ditch the controversial butterfly keyboard and replace the scissor-switch based keyboard introduced with the 16-inch MacBook Pro.

IF Apple does plan a March 31 event another possibility is “Apple Tags,” a tracking device that will compete with the Tile, a tiny Bluetooth tracker and app combo. Other possibilities: Apple branded over-the-ear headphones and a small, wireless charging mat.
