Scosche’s BaseLynx is a convenient, modular charging solution for multiple devices

It’s not as sexy as Apple’s AirPower — the late, lamented, never-saw-the-light-of-day wireless charger — but Scosche’s BaseLynx charges a range of mobile devices quickly and conveniently.

Designed to keep multiple gadgets juiced and organized, it accommodates both wired and wireless charging of different devices including iPhones, iPads, Apple Watches, and more.

The BaseLynx sports a Qi wireless fast charging dock that works with compatible iPhones; it has an Apple Watch charging dock that utilizes the proprietary magnetic charging device that comes with the smartwatch. Scosche’s charger also packs a vertical power station that holds and charges up to three devices and contains two 12W USB-A outlets and one 18W USB-C Power Delivery outlet

The BaseLynx can also charge Apple AirPods and AirPods Pro if you have a wireless charging case for the earbuds. Just put the AirPods in the case and lay the case on the wireless charging pad. Check for the charging light on the AirPods case to make sure it’s centered over the charging coil.

The BaseLynx’s powered end cap sports additional 12V USB-A and 18W USB-C PD outlets, as well as a power indicator light. USB-C PD is Apple and Samsung Fast Charge compatible.

Each charging dock comes with its own AC power cord and two end caps to allow each to be used as an individual standalone unit. The wireless charging modules of the BaseLynx are Qi-certified by the Wireless Power Consortium and deliver up to 10W of wireless charging power, supporting Apple and Samsung Fast Charge.

Advanced safety features include Foreign Object Detection, which prevents charging if something other than a Qi-enabled device is placed on the charging surface.

So how many BaseLynx modules can I link using one power source?  Each BaseLynx module has a Points value, i.e. Apple Watch = 1 Point; Wireless Charging Pad = 2 Points; Powered EndCap = 3 points; and Vert Charging Station = 5 points. Use one power cable/power source per 15 Points.

So long as your connected modules total 15 points or less, you’re good. If you want to use more than 15 points-worth of modules, start another grouping with another cable. Each BaseLynx Module (excluding the Powered EndCap) comes with a five-foot AC power cable

The BaseLynx is customizable. You can organize, charge, display and store all of your gadgets with four different modules that can be bought and arranged according to your current needs. Conveniently, you can also use each of the modules, except for the Power Charger EndCap, as a standalone item.

You could choose to put a Watch Charger and Charging Pad on your nightstand, and a combination of Charging Pads, a Vert Charging Station, and a Power Charger EndCap on your kitchen counter. In your office you might need one vert, and three charging pads. Pricing starts at $49.99.

For some folks, the BaseLynx will be overkill for their charging needs. However, if you’re a household or small business with lots of devices that constantly need charging, you should check out Scoshe’s solution.
