Office Depot’s CompuCom Launches Device as a Service for Apple hardware

CompuCom, a subsidiary of Office Depot, has launched Device as a Service for Apple, providing customers with managed services, consulting services and end-user support with Apple hardware for one fixed monthly fee.

CompuCom Chief Product and Marketing Officer Ken Jackowitz says companies of all sizes are increasingly addressing requests from employees to offer Apple products. Apple devices are among the best for business because they’re powerful, secure and enhance total cost of ownership for the modern workplace, he adds.



CompuCom’s Device as a Service for Apple offers customers end-to-end lifecycle services, from provisioning of Apple devices to full management and support at a recurring monthly cost. The offering includes:

  • Apple devices procured under an agreement with payment terms of 24, 36 or 48 months;

  • Hardware asset management, including forecasting and reporting; 

  • Procurement, including hardware order management;

  • Staging and configuration, including kitting and image deployment;

  • Deployment, including shipping and end-user setup;

  • Technical support 24/7/365, including advanced exchange and warranty repair; End-of-life disposition;

  • End-user support, including CompuCom’s Service Desk and Anti-Malware as a Service as optional add-ons.
