News round-up: new public betas, 13-inch MB Pro, more

Since Steve and I can’t cover everything, we’ll frequently offer a wrap-up news items you should check out.

Apple has seeded the second public betas of iOS 1.34 and iPadOS 13.4. The public betas are available on Apple’s Beta Software Program website. Just remember that beta software, so proceed with care. Apple does public betas in order to increase the size of the pool of testers. The tech giant recommends keeping back-ups of your files before installing a public beta.

According to MacRumors, the upcoming refresh of the 13-inch MacBook Pro will see the laptop use Intel’s 10th generation Ice Lake chips and pack the Magic Keyboard that debuted with the 16-inch MacBook Pro

iPhone maker Foxconn says it’s “cautiously restarting” production at its main plants in China and warned revenue will be hurt this year by the Coronavirus outbreak, according to Reuters.

Bloomberg says Apple is working to allow third-party music services like Spotify and Pandora to be streamed directly on the HomePod with Siri in a future software update.
