New Mac laptops likely to be announced (but not ship) at June’s WWDC

Apple leaker Jon Prosser tweets that new MacBooks will be announced at Apple’s (virtual) 2021 Worldwide Developer Conference, which kicks off on Monday, June 14.

The Sellers Research Group (that’s me) thinks that’s almost certain to happen. However, just because they’re announced doesn’t mean that they’ll begin to ship immediately. I suspect it will be 2-3 weeks if not longer.

I expect Apple to announce a new MacBook Air with M2 processor that will be available in a variety of colors. Also look for 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros (probably just offered in space grey and silver) with the M2 processor, other performance enhancements, and gorgeous mini-LED displays such as that of the new iPad Pro.
