Apple’s iPad shipments fell -22% year-on-year to 14.6 million units in the fourth quarter of 2021, according to a new report from Strategy Analytics. However, iPad worldwide market share climbed 1 percentage point to 31% as Apple still outpaced the market with sales of 14.6 million tablets during quarter four.
For Apple’s fiscal 2022 first quarter that ended December 25, 2021, the iPad generated approximately $7 million in revenue during the quarter; that’s down from $8 million in the year-ago quarter. Apple says the dip in sales was due to “severe” supply constraints.
