How to make Personalized Contact Posters in iOS 17

In iOS 17 Personalized Contact Posters provide a new way for users to express themselves by customizing how they appear when they call known contacts, including in third-party calling apps.

Contact Posters can be personalized with treatments for photos, Memoji, and eye-catching typography and font colors. Here’s how to create a Personalized Contact Poster:

° Open the Contacts app and select the contact for whom you want to create a poster. (To create a poster for one of your contacts, you’ll have to access and edit their contact card).

° Choose Contact Photo & Poster.

° Choose a background for your contact’s poster. You have four options to choose from:

  • Camera: This will open the iPhone camera so you can take a photo.
  • Photos: You can choose a pic from your Photo Library .
  • Memoji: These are Apple’s version of an emoji of yourself (or your contacts, in this case).
  • Monogram: This will display the contact’s initials as the background image and it lets you edit the appearance of them.

° Now you can tap on the contact’s name to edit the font and color.

° Tap Continue to see a preview of the Contact Poster.

° If you’ve finished editing it, click Done and you’re good to go.
