Apple Maps vehicles spotted surveying England with New Orleans coming soon

<p>Apple is stepping up its effort to provide street-view access in its Apple Maps, deploying a fleet of vehicles in the UK to collect street-level mapping data. As <a href="https://appleworld.dreamhosters.com/blog/2015/6/10/want-to-pose-for-apple-maps-heres-where-theyre-grabbing-photos">expected</a>,  Mercedes-Benz vans sporting an Apple Maps logo have been spotted just north on London in  Solihull, England, reports <a target="_blank" href="http://www.macrumors.com/2015/06/17/apple-maps-vehicles-england-new-orleans/" rel="noopener noreferrer">MacRumors</a>.</p>

Glimpses builds photo slideshows, but leaves me flat

<p>Six University security researchers from Indiana University, Georgia Tech and Peking University detailed several zero-day flaws in iOS and OS X that allow malicious attackers to bypass Apple security measures to access sensitive information stored in other apps. The sandboxed malicious apps can steal data such as iCloud keychain passwords, Google Chrome web passwords and more without detection, reports <a href="http://www.theregister.co.uk/2015/06/17/apple_hosed_boffins_drop_0day_mac_ios_research_blitzkrieg/">The Register</a>.</p>

Apple adds new videos to “Shot on iPhone 6” gallery

<p>Apple has posted more inspiration to its "<a href="https://www.apple.com/iphone/world-gallery/">Shot on iPhone 6</a>" gallery in the form of four videos shot with the handheld device. The latest examples come from customers in the Netherlands, Australia, the United States, and Norway, and feature gorgeous footage and iPhone features like slo-mo and time lapse.</p>

Apple World Today on Apple’s News app: A new way to read your favorite site

<p>At last week's WWDC 2015 keynote, Apple announced Apple Music -- a streaming music service, social media platform and global radio station. While pricing of the subscription-based service was made public at the event -- $9.99 per month ($14.99 per month for up to six people in a household) with a three-month trial period -- there was no mention of what percentage of the take music owners would take home. That information was <a target="_blank" href="http://recode.net/2015/06/15/heres-what-happens-to-your-10-after-you-pay-for-a-month-of-apple-music/" rel="noopener noreferrer">revealed to Re/code by Apple vice president of iTunes content Robert Kondrk</a>, who said that American record labels and publishers who own the rights to songs will get 71.5% of the revenue from compositions played on Apple Music.</p>

iOS 9 code reveals preview of coming attractions

<p>Developers love to peek around at the code inside of the latest beta operating systems to see if there are clues to future devices or features not yet disclosed by Apple. <a target="_blank" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steven_Troughton-Smith" rel="noopener noreferrer">Steven Troughton-Smith</a> is the developer who brought us disclosures of interesting features in previous incarnations of iOS, and now he's found some exciting hints in iOS 9.</p>
