<p>SpriTec Software has introduced <a target="_blank" href="http://www.ziptite.pro" rel="noopener noreferrer">ZipTite</a>, a utility app for creating and sharing zip archives on the Mac. Users can create password-protected Zip Archives. </p>

<p>Apple plans to <a href="http://www.reuters.com/article/us-apple-southkorea-idUSKBN14Q05X?feedType=RSS&feedName=businessNews">open</a> its first retail store in South Korea. The Cupertino, California-based company has listed hiring notices for 15 positions on its website, including a store leader and business manager.</p>

<p>There have been rumors of an iMac with Retina 8K display. I’ve predicted that we wouldn’t see one before 2020, but I may be wrong. At this week’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Dell introduced the UP3218K, world’s first 32-inch, 8K monitor.</p>

This saved many a MacBook Air and MacBook Pro from a disastrous plummet when someone accidentally snagged the power cable. However, Apple abandoned the tech on recent laptops, going all in for USB-C ports and no others.</p>

<p><a target="_blank" href="http://www.speckproducts.com" rel="noopener noreferrer">Speck</a> is launching two new protective solutions: Presidio CLEAR for MacBook, the company’s first drop-protective laptop case, and Presidio SHOW, the newest addition to the Presidio smartphone line.</p>

<p>As noted by <a target="_blank" href="http://arstechnica.com/gaming/2017/01/nvidia-geforce-now-streaming-pc-mac-price-release-date/" rel="noopener noreferrer">Ars Technica</a>, <a target="_blank" href="http://www.nvidia.com" rel="noopener noreferrer">Nvidia</a> has launched a new version of its GeForce Now game streaming software that allows users to play any game they own from the likes of Steam, Origin, and Uplay on any Mac or PC. </p>

<p>CalDigit has announced the <a href="http://www.caldigit.com/thunderbolt-3-dock/thunderbolt-station-3-lite/">Thunderbolt Station 3 Lite</a>. It’s designed to maximize the potential of Thunderbolt 3’s 40G/s throughout to add a plethora of devices to any Mac or PC Thunderbolt 3 enabled computer. </p>

<p style="margin-left:0px; margin-right:0px"><a href="http://www.clarion.com/us/en/top.html">Clarion Corporation of America</a> has introduced the NX807, the company's first full-featured premium double DIN in-dash infotainment source unit featuring Apple CarPlay support. </p>

<p>A plethora of HomeKit-compatible products have been announced at this week’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. Apple's HomeKit is a framework that allows control of compatible home automation devices through iOS and Siri.</p>

<p>Apple says its App Store welcomed 2017 with its busiest single day ever on New Year’s Day, capping a record-breaking holiday season. There were nearly US$240 million in purchases.</p>
