<p>Steve “Woz” Wozniak thinks the company he co-founded (that would be Apple) will still be around in 2075, as will Google and Facebook, he said in discussing next weekend’s <a target="_blank" href="http://svcomiccon.com/?gclid=Cj0KEQjww7zHBRCToPSj_c_WjZIBEiQAj8il5ApeKDp69N6G8Lck3LOpPZit9W5jze8tzaWdV84RZPkaAi228P8HAQ" rel="noopener noreferrer">Silicon Valley Comic Con (SVCC)</a>, “The Future of Humanity: Where Will We Be in 2075?” The three-day conference, which Wozniak helped create last year, explores the intersection of pop culture and technology.</p>

<p>Al Gore (pictured) — former U.S. Vice President and Climate Reality chairman — and Lisa Jackson — Apple’s vice president of Environment, Policy, and Social Initiatives — will discuss climate optimism Wednesday, April 17, in an appearance at Apple Store Union Square in San Francisco, California.</p>

<p>This ain’t gonna happen, but in a note to clients — as noted by <a target="_blank" href="http://appleinsider.com/articles/17/04/17/analyst-speculates-apples-oled-iphone-8-could-ditch-embedded-fingerprint-sensor" rel="noopener noreferrer">AppleInsider</a> — Andy Hargreaves, an equity research analyst with Pacific Crest Securities, thinks there’s a possibility that the “iPhone 8” could ship without a fingerprint sensor of any kind.</p>

<p>Einstein's legacy has introduced PhotoStory 1.0.1, an image-to-video transformation app for the Mac. It turns a collection of images into a digital movie for use in promotion, storytelling or for creating time-lapsed applications. </p>

<p>The Apple TV will gain multi-user support and picture-in-picture with tvOS 11, the next major update of its operating system, according to Israeli site, <em>The Verifier</em> — as noted by <a target="_blank" href="http://appleinsider.com/articles/17/04/16/rumor-apple-tv-to-get-multi-user-support-picture-in-picture-with-tvos-11" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>AppleInsider</em>.</a> tvOS 11 will almost certainly be unveiled at June’s Apple Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC).</p>

<p>Let the Apple Car rumors rise like the phoenix from the ashes. Apple has received a permit to test autonomous cars in California, “the first official confirmation that the maker of the iPhone sees the century-old automobile as a product that's ripe for reinvention and a reflection of its need to tap new markets to sustain its growth,” according to <a target="_blank" href="http://www.businessinsider.com/apple-officially-testing-self-driving-cars-california-dmv-confirms-2017-4" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>Business Insider</em></a>. </p>

<p>George Stroumboulopoulos, Canada’s top music interviewer and known in Canada as “Strombo,” has signed on with Apple Music to bring his "House of Strombo" concert series to the streaming service, via YouTube. The shows are filmed at his downtown Toronto home in front of a live audience, “crammed into his living room,” reports <a target="_blank" href="http://www.billboard.com/biz/articles/news/digital-and-mobile/7760329/apple-music-picks-up-torontos-house-of-strombo-concert" rel="noopener noreferrer">Billboard</a>.</p>

<p>The folks at AirBeamTV have released the Mirror for Chromecast app on the <a target="_blank" href="https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/mirror-for-chromecast/id1196258230?mt=12&ign-mpt=uo%3D4" rel="noopener noreferrer">Mac App Store</a> and on their <a target="_blank" href="https://www.airbeam.tv" rel="noopener noreferrer">website</a>. Screen mirroring (sometimes called screen casting) allows you to see the screen of your Mac, or any external display connected to your Mac, on your TV. </p>

<p><a target="_blank" href="http://www.synology.com" rel="noopener noreferrer">Synology Inc.</a> has launched the DiskStation DS1517+ (pictured) and DS1817+,  together with the Expansion Unit DX517. The scalable 5-bay and 8-bay tower servers offer a network-attached storage (NAS) solution for tech enthusiasts and small/medium-sized businesses.</p>
