<p>Apple has been granted a patent (number 9,961,239) for “touch accommodation options,” which provides methods and devices for touch accommodations to users with tremors or other fine motor impairments to improve the accuracy of such users' touch inputs on touch-sensitive surfaces. </p>

Rumor: no ‘Project Marzipan’ for ‘universal apps’ until 2019

<p>According to blogger John Gruber on his <a href="https://daringfireball.net/2018/04/scuttlebutt_regarding_ui_project" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>Daring Fireball</em> site</a>, Apple's rumored “Project Marzipan,” which will deliver macOS support to iOS apps, will likely debut in 2019, not 2018. It had previously been speculated that it would be unveiled at this year’s Apple Worldwide Developer Conference.</p>

Apple hit with two more lawsuits

<p>Another day, another lawsuit. No, make that two. As reported by <a href="https://appleinsider.com/articles/18/04/30/apple-hit-with-patent-suits-over-iphone-x-camera-ios-11-do-not-disturb-while-driving-feature" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>AppleInsider</em></a>, there’s a new pair of lawsuits against Apple claiming patent infringement on features related to the dual camera arrays in some iPhones, as well as smart device alerts. </p>

Judge: Uniloc can’t view Apple’s iOS or watchOS source code

Apple shares up on expectations of record capital allocation program

<p>Apple shares are gaining ahead of earnings tomorrow and investor/analyst believe that the report could include a <a href="https://www.cnbc.com/2018/04/30/apple-shares-jump-on-optimism-for-a-big-boost-to-buyback-dividend-program.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">record capital allocation program</a>. Morgan Stanley thinks Apple could increase the capital return program by $150 billion, while analyst Katy Huberty expects $210 billion in share repurchases, $52 billion in dividends over three years, and about $30 billion available for acquisitions. </p>

Rumor: new MacBook Air pushed to second half of 2018 (but I don’t think so)

<p>Apple has pushed production of a 2018 MacBook Air model to the second half of the year, according <a href="https://www.digitimes.com/news/a20180430PD207.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>DigiTimes</em></a>, quoting unnamed “supply chain sources.” The article says that the tech giant hasn’t explained the delay, but it “might be caused by problems with some key components such as processors.”</p>

Apple India’s net profits grow 44% (but the company’s pace of growth is down)

<p>Apple grew its India net profit for the year that ended March 2017 by 44% at Rs 373.4 crore, according to the tech giant’s latest regulatory filings made to the Registrar of Companies (RoC), reports the <a href="https://telecom.economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/apple-indias-net-profit-surges-by-44-and-so-does-its-india-ambition/63966723" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>Economic Times of India</em></a>.</p>
