<p style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Here's an idea for an iPhone feature I'd love to see: a mute feature with a timer. Let me explain. I'm going to a meeting, church service, etc., so I set my iPhone's volume to vibrate only. After all, you don't want to get a phone call when the boss is on a tear or the preacher's really into his lesson.</p>

The awards are given by the Society for Information Display (SID) and granted to “display products with the most significant technological advances and/or outstanding features.”</p>

<p style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Twelve South has launched the <a href="http://www.twelvesouth.com/product/airfly" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">AirFly</a>, a little device allows you to use your AirPods or any wireless headphones anywhere that a wire was previously required. Now you can plug into in-flight entertainment systems, TV’s at the gym or anywhere.</p>

<p style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Apple’s Tim Cook handily tops the list of the 50 “CEOs with the Greatest Impact on Growth” by <a href="http://www.kittlemansearch.com" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Kittleman</a>, an executive recruitment firm. How handily? About $1.57 billion in average revenue growth per month during his 77 months as CEO of the Cupertino, California-based company.</p>

<p style="white-space: pre-wrap;">In what may indicate an even closer tie with Nike, Apple has been granted a patent (number 9,578,927) for a “shoe wear-out sensor, body-bar sensing system, unit less activity accessment, and associated methods” that will tell you when your sneakers, boots, and shoes for running, soccer, and American football. This is Apple’s second patent for such an invention; the first was 9,578927.</p>

<p style="white-space: pre-wrap;">It’s the legal battle that keeps on keepin’ on. Attorneys for Apple and Samsung <a href="https://www.law360.com/technology/articles/978590/apple-samsung-select-jury-in-silicon-valley-ip-damages-trial?nl_pk=ade0cf2b-ea3f-464b-bc93-d8e19277ac63&utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=technology" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">traded juror challenges</a> on Monday at the start of a high-profile California federal trial to determine how much Samsung owes for infringing five of Apple's design and utility patents, winnowing 74 candidates down to a final panel of eight.</p>

<p style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Apple CEO Tim Cook <a href="https://seekingalpha.com/news/3356559-tim-cook-comments-trump-meeting?dr=1#email_link" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">has commented</a> on April’s meeting with President Trump. He says the discussion focused on the importance of trade and how cooperation between two countries can boost the economy more than nations acting alone.</p>
