<p style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Good news: The <a href="https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2018/05/16/net-neutrality-senate-votes-halt-repeal-obama-era-rules/613404002/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">U.S. Senate has voted</a> to keep in place “Net Neutrality” rules that prevent Internet providers from blocking or slowing users’ access to certain websites and charging more for faster delivery of some content.</p>

Apple may open a new campus in North Carolina

<p style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Apple’s “spaceship campus” in Cupertino, California just opened in April, but a new campus of the tech giant could be located in North Carolina’s Research Triangle Park, a 22 million square foot research park, according to the <a href="https://www.bizjournals.com/triangle/news/2018/05/15/sources-research-triangle-park-tops-apples-short.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>Triangle Business Journal</em></a>.</p>

How about an iPhone mute function with a timer feature?

<p style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Here's an idea for an iPhone feature I'd love to see: a mute feature with a timer. Let me explain. I'm going to a meeting, church service, etc., so I set my iPhone's volume to vibrate only. After all, you don't want to get a phone call when the boss is on a tear or the preacher's really into his lesson.</p>

Apple wants to save your sole; patent is for a ‘shoe wear-out’ detection system

<p style="white-space: pre-wrap;">In what may indicate an even closer tie with Nike, Apple has been granted a patent (number 9,578,927) for a “shoe wear-out sensor, body-bar sensing system, unit less activity accessment, and associated methods” that will tell you when your sneakers, boots, and shoes for running, soccer, and American football. This is Apple’s second patent for such an invention; the first was 9,578927.</p>
